Alright guys, came in here for an
overnight and some off trail camping on the river, then exploring, I just got done
crossing the main river here and, then gonna go wander a bit find a campsite,
and then day hike, and see what we can find. See you when I check in next time. Alright, we’re here.
I’m gonna do another ford, and gonna go find a campsite nearby here for the night and then the dayhike, and the
day hike, the winds picking up, storm clouds moving in, so we’ll see how it goes.
Supposed to rain tomorrow. Coming along off trail, looking for old growth and exploring, and coming
along, and that’s probably a hundred feet that way and probably another 50 feet
that way, we had to go around this monster six foot – eight foot around
old growth tree that’s down here, but I decided that it’d be easy just to crawl
right underneath it through the hole right there, and see what’s on the other side, so
let’s go. Come along here looking for a campsite, you can see a nice elk wallow
here, last year probably. There’s still some kind of fresh tracks,
some recent Elk activity in the area, we’ll see we jump anything. Alright, got
camp set up, came out to the creek here, to get some camp water,
got the gravity-feed going, just sitting here watching it rain. So far has been sprinkles, nothing too
bad. We’ll see how the rest of the trip goes. Here at campsite, rains moving in, you can
see it there in the valley wall, and it’s time to wander for a few hours, and see
if you can find some cool looking trees, and come back and make some dinner. yum.
yum. Alright, coming out with my coffee, away
from camp here, you can see last night the snow line dropped a little bit, got
some fresh snow, some beautiful morning light, time to get packed up soon and
head back to the trailhead. Alright, broke down camp, had breakfast,
had coffee and now we’re gonna be heading back to
the trailhead. It was a nice 24-hour quick camping trip in the mountains. We’ll see you guys next time!
