5 Tips For Cleaning Up After the Holidays

With the start of the new year means It’s time to end the Christmas season and take down all of those decorations and that can cause a big mess Michael Silva Nash from Molly Maid is here with some ideas to help your home Sparkle as you start a fresh new year Thanks for joining us Michael. Let’s begin with your first tip say goodbye to gifts. What do you mean by this? Say Goodbye, you know we all have Aunt Judy that brings us presents that on that look You know that you might not really win sometimes, and so just be sure to keep the receipt keep three You know make sure you read the return policy and just go ahead and say goodbye Don’t leave around and let it become clutter and let the the return policy expire That’s where you can’t return anymore, and if you don’t you can’t return it Be sure to give the charity give it someone that could use it That’s true But don’t let it clutter up your house the second one is something interesting to do with your holiday Cards that you have right now.
Yes, go ahead and write down everyone who Satan your holiday card this year They’re all laying around the house probably collect them all together and write down that way next year you already have a list that you they can begin with and you seem so thoughtful that you remembered them in the Sense that your card last is a great idea very thoughtful planning ahead a year ahead Um the third one is guest bedroom cleanup You know especially this year a lot of people were staying with each other because of this ice storm And so it’s time to disinfect the guest bedroom Yes especially You want to take the seats you want to make sure you wash them put some new ones on and just disinfect the room just In case or something that that might pass on to the next guest you want make sure everything’s nice and clean and ready Okay, your next tip is my favorite so far I just put up my Christmas decorations, and I wish I would have talked to you first because this is what I did I just wanted to get it down so I water that my lights I put them in a big ol ball threw them in storage, and I wish I would have known. This is a great tip That’s all you need is a paper towel holder, and you just wrap them around so this goes to looking like this that’s Amazing so just wrap them the next paper towel folder that you Run out of paper towels and wrap it around like this and that’s a very organized way To keep them. Yes, I’m they look beautiful in the house to keep them beautiful looking all year, okay And finally don’t procrastinate don’t procrastinate. This is something that you know. We just push it off. You push it off You don’t want to be that neighbor with all your Christmas lights You know during Valentine’s Day you wanna make sure you take them down now clean the refrigerator Out the food’s probably not that good anyways or safe for you So you just went clean everything out and coordinate also with your trash pick-up day, so you don’t have the tree laying around it On the street all week long okay, and finally a question that came from Greg D. Whenever you came in Michael He said and this is an interesting question. How do you get candy cane out of carpet? Yes a good idea is always like we did last time with the wine you want to make sure you put some club soda So the carbonation gets to off the wine, and then you could use some baking soda, and if that doesn’t work Just use some some store-bought Carpet cleaner and you can spray on and dab. It don’t don’t rub it in but dab it out great tips Thank you so much Michaels Sylvan Nash, we appreciate you for coming in Sparkle we are back with more Arkin
