Traditional rangers on the
ground do an incredible job. But there’re of course limited Rangers.
There’re lots of training required. It’s a quite a dangerous job and if there’s any way we can help with things like drones or UAVs. That’s what we’re looking to do in our ERP efforts. Be their eyes in the sky. So I head up that project with of course technology. Technology being a hard way, the actual drones, the specific infrared cameras and some software as well. That to me is where the SAP
cloud is really going to help us make a difference because through the
latest Leonardo and machine learning capability, suddenly we’re going to have more accurate analysis of our footage. Through the IoT framework, the internet-of-things framework, suddenly I can control a fleet of drones at once as opposed to two one or two at a time and I think that’s the beauty of
the SAP solution. This is our project, this is where SAP gets involved and then where we’re going. More reserves, more animals and we’re going to get that right by scaling and automation. And that’s the power of SAP.
