Anyone can Travel || HOSTEL HERO

*Wolf howling* What’s up fellow travelers?? My name is PJ Allen (a.k.a. the Hostel Hero) I am an aspiring superhero, traveler, and entrepreneur. So my aim with this channel is to help people achieve their dreams of long-term travel through daily travel tips and videos like you’re watching right now. So a little bit about me. I’m a recent graduate from a Superhero Academy. I majored in Supercology Which is kind of like psychology except you can actually make money from it. And after graduating I realized that being a superhero isn’t exactly as lucrative as you see on TV It’s not like we receive a commission every time we do our job It’s like hey, I caught that villain that you were after for a few months. Hey! Thanks for doin’ that bud. We’ll take it from here. Is… is that it? Yep. That’s it. That’s all we need from you. Appreciate it Guess I’ll start a patreon account. Anyways, I’ve come to provide you with some unconventional wisdom Anyone. Can. Travel. It’s not that expensive. If you’re young and lacking in funds But you’re willing to take some agency over your life, then you can travel. And note, not as a tourist But as a traveler. See what few people understand and fail to recognize is that the job stability of past generations Is in a state of flux right now It is highly unlikely that the job that you have now is going to be your job 5 – 10 years from now I mean… in past generations people would like get a job after college They would go they would work for 40 – 50 years and then they would retire. That’s not gonna happen in today’s generation. So with this flexibility and this state of flux It offers an opportunity for today’s “would-be” travelers. New jobs are emerging as digital Travelers, digital nomads. Take travel vlogging for instance. This job was invented like five minutes ago. No. Seriously. I was walking upstairs and my sister was like, “Hey, check out this post.” And I was like, “What’s that?” and it’s like “Travel Vlogging? Oh, I guess I’ll just do that from now on”. And it’s affordable. Look at European airlines, right? So you’ve got like RyanAir, WizzAir, EasyJet. Those are the big three see there’s so much competition That you don’t see in American Airlines between these European airlines and that’s what drives the prices down you can get from Ireland to Budapest for $40 right or less that’s an exaggeration just based on what I looked up today Especially if you’re travelling in like a shoulder season like in the fall or the spring You can travel on a very, very low budget for like 30 to 40 dollars per day What about long distance flights leaving the United States? Norwegian Airlines. I love Norwegian Airlines I’m a huge fan girl of Norwegian Airlines they offer flights from New York / the East Coast to Dublin for as little as 89 dollars that’s less than $100 to get from the United States to Europe. And then once you get to Europe you can stay in hostels See this is what a lot of people don’t understand about hostels. They have this bad Stereotype of hostels in America, you think they’re dirty, they’re unclean, that people will be cramped, and trying to steal your stuff That’s not true. None of that is true. In fact that couldn’t be further from the truth. The best and safest way you can stay in Europe, in South America, in Asia is in a hostel There are people around constantly which means that you’re less likely to get robbed if you’re staying in Airbnb on couchsurfing I mean those things are safe to, but Hostels are the most authentic way to experience in your culture If you choose to stay in a hotel… God, please don’t stay in a hotel. When you stay in a hotel, it’s like staying somewhere on vacation. And why would you travel several thousand miles just to stay in a hotel and not experience the place you are at in a unique and Cultural way that will enrich your life? Hostels are the cultural and ethical melting pots of society where people are able to openly engage and connect with one another. For what you trade and comfort from a five-star hotel You gain a knowledge and experience and personal growth by staying in the hostel. So I’m fresh out of the Academy I don’t exactly know what I’m doing that could qualified to run a vlog, but you know what? I’m gonna do it. Superhero Travel Vloggers Do you see them around much? I swear, I googled it and There are none. There isn’t even a word for superhero travel vlogger in our lexicon. Yet. It’s almost like about phlebotomist Quit their day job and decided become a bear-wrestler. Like, how would you go about doing that? Would you like wrestle Bernese Mountain Dogs first and then like go onto like little baby Cubs? That’s a good question How do you become a bear-wrestler. Anyways, I’ve been rambling too long… so come along for the ride. Get in here. It’ll be fun. Imagine getting a real job after this… *Nervous laughter* As always if you like this video smash that like button post in the comments and subscribe

  1. ⚡️#QOTD (***slightly edited): If you could have any one unique profession what would it be? Would it be a bear wrestler? Or perhaps a skydiving instructor? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
