Welcome back to Theera Ulaa, It’s raining everywhere. Raining in Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, So we were confused about the tour plan, Even North and North East India is raining, flood. We finally decided to come Andhra, So we’re here. We will see a small tour about Andhra in this video. Andhra, A state which has split into two, twice. First in 1953 Split from Madras. Potti Sreeramulu had went on hunger strike and starved to death for making Andhra a Separate state. He also stated that, Split the states but make Madras as the capital for Andhra. He mentioned that Without Madras, Andhra is like a body without a head. After splitting at 1953, in 2014 once again, When i was residing in Hyderabad, It was split into Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Amaravati is chosen as the capital for Andhra now. We are already facing major Divisions in our country, in the head of India – Jammu & Kashmir. Already India and Pakistan was split into two The disasters happened during that was, 4000+ people have been killed. Not dead accidentally but they were robbed and put to death. More than 7.5 crore people have migrated from Pakistan to India & from India to Pakistan Leaving their land, property, assets, relations etc. So splitting something into two is that much a difficult thing to do. In a day more than 30,000 women were aborted from pregnancy. because so many women have been raped during the migration of India and Pak. So dividing a country or state is a fragile thing. Like that Andhra was split in two, twice. Andhra Govt. had asked for special category status for them that means giving them some tax exemptions etc. When Hyderabad was the capital most of the funds were invested there. Now that they have been split, they won’t receive those shares anymore. So they might face more losses, and their expense will become high. So they requested the Govt to give special status. But Indian Govt. refused to provide them that special category status. But they granted with 4000 crores to cover up the losses with few conditions. Andhra Pradesh has many rivers flowing to it like India’s second longest river – Godavari. Then Krishna – Third Longest river. Tungabhadra and Penna as well. We’ve already seen that river in our Gandikota video earlier. Watch it if you have missed that video. Gandikota is a fort built besides a river Kings lived there so that the enemies can’t attack the fort easily. They’re rich in agriculture because of abundant water resources. unlike Tamil Nadu, Unfortunately. There are many unique things in Andhra like Kakinada Kaja snacks, and their dance – Kuchipudi. Kuchipudi is a dance performed about a drama or event about gods mainly. similar to our Tamil Nadu’s Bharatanatyam. Main drama revolves around the Geetha Govindam Not this movie 😛 the one that said to have happened between Krishna and Radha Now we’re at Araku Valley, we went Borra caves earlier and before that we’ve seen a beach in Vizag. It takes 1 hour to reach from Vizag to this beach. It’s crowded because of the weekend. First we thought it was not that a big beach when we heard of this but This is beautiful, the hilly roads that leads to this beach itself was stunning. There are many places to visit in Andhra, We’re not sure if we can cover everything in this one trip. I’ve noted few places, let me list them now. Lepakshi, that’s an old temple. Horsley hills, I’ve been there once. Avoid visiting it in the summer season. Then vizag, we’ve already seen few places like kailasagiri Then next we have Tirupati, it’s a temple on a mountain. If you’re a Theist, then you also have Srikalahasti. We’d love to visit one place in Andhra since long time. That’s Papi Kondalu near RajahMundry. When we planned it in last year, Cyclone affected that place. So we skipped it and went to Gokarna. Again we planned it this time but again they cancelled it because of more water flow in East Godavari. We can travel in a boat to that place, it is a serene and secluded kind of island. and then towards the south of Andra you might reach Tenali. No, not the Kamal’s movie. You might have heard about Tenali Raman. He was one of the 8 main members in the Krishna Deva Raya’s court. He was the ruler of Karnataka or Karnata Empire. He ruled it successfully and it was also called as Vijayanagaram Empire. Don’t confuse Vijayanagaram with the present city, not that one. The empire starts from Hampi and covers everything until Coromandel Coast. All the places in that side is called Karnatik. Maybe that’s why they called those Telugu music came from there as Carnatic music. It’s not raining today and time is already 11. You might have enjoyed watching our resort location. If you want to know more about it, comment below in the video. We will get back to you with the details. Let’s cover other places in Andhra in our next video. Until then, Bye.
