[Music] There are simply thousands, upon thousands of opportunities and many, many different career disciplines that graduates are going to look at. The skills that we learn on this management course are really versatile and transferable into other industries. They also invite external and internal guest lecturers to speak about different subjects that might be helpful for you upon graduation or with your studies and applying for jobs and placements. The placements available on MyCareerHub are really varied, you can do anything from restaurants, hotels, into tourism lobbying bodies, it’s really diverse. You can also go into cruisers, finance and things like that. I graduated from BU last year and at the moment I am doing a Marriott graduate scheme in the London Edition hotel. Going on placement I worked in a boutique hotel that helped me come out of my shell and I became a lot more confident and know what there is to know about hospitality. What’s great about the academics at Bournemouth University is that they come from such a variety of Backgrounds, be they from a food safety, from the Armed Forces, catering, hotels. It really means that whatever you are interested in studying, there’s an opportunity for you to learn from someone and develop. It was very important for us to have a close relationship with the university, we encourage young people to work in our industry, of course we have a group of Millennials now coming through the industry. The way they think, the way they operate the way that they are socially networked, their IT skills, are often far superior to those of some of our original colleagues and so it’s really great to be able to embrace all of that and actually encourage some of that in the workplace. We have such amazing industry connections and such a great environment to work in. Bournemouthís an absolutely buzzing hospitality and tourism location, which makes it perfect for our course.
