Cincinnati Zoo- Charging Locations and Emergencies

Hello and welcome to Is It Accessible! Today we are looking at the Cincinnati Zoo
charging locations. Officially, the Cincinnati Zoo website does
not list any specific charging locations. We did check around and found a few places
to charge up as well as what to do if you are traveling in a battery powered wheelchair
and run out of power. If you are near the front of the Cincinnati
Zoo, there are some outlets inside of the Welcome Center as well as a bench to sit on
while you wait. The outlets are against the back wall and
on the left by the bench. Near the Africa Exhibit, there is a restaurant
called Base Camp. There are outlets along the walls on the inside
and the outside. These outlets are able to be used on a case
by case basis depending on how busy the location is. There are also outlets inside the 4D theater,
however these are definitely on a case by case basis and only used with permission as
the outlets are behind the 4D theater desk. Now if you are out and about and you run into
an issue and either your personal wheelchair or one of the ones that is being rented from
the Zoo runs out of battery power and you need a hand, you can reach out to Cincinnati
Zoo Security. The phone number is 513-475-6112. The number is also in the description if you
need it. Make sure to give them a description of the
issue you are having and do your best to give them an accurate location so they can get
to you quickly with either a replacement for your rental or to help get you to a nearby
outlet to charge up. That’s it for our video on Cincinnati Zoo
charging locations. There is a link in the description for the
Cincinnati Zoo’s Access for All site if you have questions that aren’t covered here. Thanks for watching.
