COME TO KUWAIT CITY WITH ME | THINGS TO DO | Travel Vlog

Hi everyone. Welcome back to my channel This might be the last video of the year 2019 or the first of 2020 Either way, happy new year guys. This is gonna be a vlog video where I’m just gonna show you some highlights of Kuwait City “Can you see the floor there?” “Oh it is kind of moving” “Oh my gosh. Make sure you don’t drop anything” “Yeah, let’s move on.” “There’s something in there! I didn’t know!” “Yeah, they’re bored. Nothing to do. There’s no snow for them to walk around in” So, one thing that I found really strange, coming from Canada where everybody is too polite is that driving in Kuwait is madness, absolute madness. I get very tense, even when I’m not the one driving, I feel like Kuwait is one place I never, ever want to drive in. It’s too much. People are driving at the highest speed, always on the phone, and no seatbelts. Seatbelt who? Kids don’t use seatbelts here, it’s not compulsory. What else? And people don’t have the courtesy, people don’t know how to use their signal in Kuwait. People just criss-cross the road And I think, if I were driving, that would be exceptionally annoying, especially if we were going at a slow speed, and you’re just cutting in front of me. Ooh, and the people are always honking. Always honking when the light goes green, always honking, it’s just loud and it’s just crazy and if you don’t have the heart for driving, on the highway or just driving generally, I would suggest you put on your sunglasses and close your eyes, if you ever had to be in a taxi just never have to drive in Kuwait. It’s the one thing I really do not like, and yeah Ah, the night market. A lot of stores here open late night, they may open shop around 6 p.m. and open late
into the night and the night is kind of when everybody comes out, the women come out, they’re all dressed in the black abaya the black abaya
yeah buy a black or you know and you Everywhere is scented, there’s perfume scents and everything going on. Avenue’s is the biggest shopping mall here. It’s really large, it goes on for miles and miles. And it’s still expanding and there’s so many stores. There’s all the British stores here, you know, the high-street stores and the high end designer stores, they’re all here. And it’s always buzzing and it’s a really nice place. It smells good all the time because they’re always spraying perfume as you walk by trying to sell. I didn’t capture any of that but it’s a nice place to visit and go shopping. But the night market is where you get things for really affordable prices and it’s really nice because at night is when the weather is nice and cool and everyone is just, you know, walking around. It is a peaceful country, it’s a safe place, so night shopping is not anything daunting or anything like that. daunting or anything like that So in case you didn’t know, Kuwait is a Muslim country, so every, I’m not sure exactly what times of the day, they do call for prayer. Wherever you are, you are going to hear and at first, it can be a bit surprising. Almost scary, almost, like, surreal, hearing such, but then you kind of get used to it “What does it say?” That’s it everyone. I Hope you’ve enjoyed this vlog. I may do another vlog, showing other bits of my experience in Kuwait. Hope you liked it. Please give this video a thumbs up, click on the like button and subscribe to my channel.
