CSUMB Tour 6/6 – Places

Hi my name is Chelsie and I am a junior
here at CSUMB and a psychology major.
Right now we’re standing in front of the library the Tanimura & Antle family
library The library has three floors and on the first floor there is a computer lab open 24/7 and a Peets Coffee Also on the first floor is the circulation desk. On the second floor is the Center for
Student Success as well the Academic Skills Achievement
Program (ASAP) which is a free tutoring service for students and the tutors are students
who excelled in a particular class. On the second floor there is the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Center (UROC) UROC has programs that will help students get involved in undergraduate research and to help them get into graduate
school programs that are in there specialized field. On the
third floor you will find academic advising which I know as a student I really appreciate. We love academic’s here, they’re so helpful And are always on top of making sure you get the classes that you need Here we are at the Chapman Science Academic Center. This building houses most of our science and math classes as well as professors offices and research labs. The first and second floors are comprised of mostly classrooms The third floor features alounge
which has really cools views for observing campus wildlife or people watch; whatever you want to do. One thing ii think is really cool about this
building is that wood on the outside is actually recycled from old Fort Ord buildings that have been torn down. The Science Academic Center highlights CSUMB’s committment to sustainability Also, these rocks that look like
they’re caged in is actually a water filtration system. That’s how we keep our
campus green. Water goes through the rocks and then
into our sprinkler system. The Media Learning Center is where students who are majoring in graphic design, web design and
information technology spend a lot of their time and effort. This is the site of the Business Information Technology Building will be completed in the fall of 2015 This building is going to house our
business major as well as information technology Thanks Chelsie! Oh, shh! Sorry, library. If you guys want to know anything else about our campus check out these videos right over here Shhh! Check them out They’re pretty cool.. go! do
