♪ ♪ Alright, are we good here?
I’m good to sit. My name’s Catie Toal
and I’m 18 years old and I’m from New Orleans. I’m in the color guard in the
Blue Devils organization. Aw that’s so pretty. It was really nice to just
sit and get to meet them because I kind of knew Catie
and she’s cute as a button, I love her. So having a day
to just be yourself and be with your friends before
you turn into the Blue Devils that have to get stuff and
catch your stuff. It was nice. My junior year of high school
I marched the Cadets, which was a very
big deal for me. I was gonna
march Cadets. Really? In ’13, yeah.
How did you like it? I liked it so much. It was so
different from what I expected. I think my favorite thing
was the people for sure. I was gonna stay but I always wanted to be a Blue Devil, so I came to the Blue Devils this year and that’s where I am. Well y’all’s style is super different. Like the technique. We used to do a lot of reps, do
100 on a hand and get them… Oh. Yeah. For each time we would start
over and if it wasn’t good, that’s how we got
the perfect mentality. And then it’s like
muscle memory. You’ll do 16 at a time. Done!
Yeah. Guys, what if the
trash blows over? Oh! Polaroid.
Ohmygod, you’re right! Are we all in it?
No I’m not! Ahh! Okay, it’s bright.
Don’t forget. Ready? 1, 2…

us all in. Your eyes are so
pretty, Laura. Without a doubt these
people are my best friends but another part of me
really misses my Cadet family. [Applause]
