Giant Family Camping Trip Begins – Family Camp Vlogs

– You guys ready to go on a road trip? – (together) Yeah! – Yes. Smooth. (dramatic orchestra music) – Good morning everyone. Today we are embarking
on our big camping trip. Our car is fully packed. We’ve put the seat down. The kids are getting all buckled up. Jessica had this idea on one
of our road trips recently to get the kids legos, which
I thought was a terrible idea. Personally, I always
lost legos in the car. I always thought it was a bad idea to bring legos in the car. But it works out, and I was totally wrong. She was right as usual. The kids each have their own little bins and we got them these Lego sets. Parker is a duplo Mickey
Mouse Lego Jr. Set. Wait, he can build it himself! That’s for you for the road trip. Throw that in there. Alright, which one did you get? – I got… – [Chris] What is this? – Lego Elves. – Elves? Mommy picked that out. She thought you would love it. – Yeah, I love it. – And then Daddy picked
this one out for Jacob. What do you think of this? – I like it. – You like it? What is it? Let’s take a look. It’s a Star Wars TIE Advanced Prototype. – It’s a baby dragon. – A baby dragon! I didn’t even see that. – Jacob, how excited are
you about this thing? – So excited. – Me too. – I thought you were getting
me the death star version. – You think I was gonna
get you the death star? – (laughs) yeah! – Well this is a giant disappointment if you thought I was gonna
give you the death star. – No, no. It’s not a giant disappointment. – It’s not a giant disappointment. – I thought you were
gonna get a death star or something that I didn’t know of. And you got something great! – Okay good. I’m glad you’re excited about it. Wait, where are my sunglasses? Where’d they go? This is a problem. We gotta find my sunglasses guys. Oh, I see them! I see them down there. – Oh yeah, they were on the ground. I picked them off of there. They were way down on the ground. – You guys ready to go on a road trip? – (together) Yeah! – Yes! Smooth. We’re only like two and a half hours past our scheduled departure time. So we’re good. We stopped for a little
In-N-Out potty break and now it’s time to hit the road again. You guys having a good drive so far? You got your In-N-Out grilled cheeses. – With lettuce. – Yeah you don’t have a bun. You just have lettuce and cheese. Lettuce and cheese. Oh, and you have a bun. Our audiobook is starting! Gotta go! (cheery music) We had to take another potty break. We went to Burger King. Not the Burger King over there. I thought that there was gonna be a sign. Oh, there’s a sign. That place. I have not been in a Burger King for probably at least 10 years. – Yeah, all I got was hot tea. – I got something special for myself. But, Jacob… – And I didn’t know they had desserts. They had this like amazing
delicious looking cake thing that I was very tempted to get. – And we did not. We did not get any of that. – We all wanted it. – We did. There’s a peanut butter one, and peanut butter is my weakness. I don’t know if you know that about me but I like peanut butter. – He doesn’t just like peanut butter. He likes peanut butter and chocolate. Like him even saying that is him assuming that chocolate was involved. – I like peanut butter by itself. But peanut butter with
chocolate is better. – Peanut butter by itself
is not your weakness. – That’s true. I could go like, “Oh, that’s
a jar of peanut butter. I don’t need to eat that right now.” But if it’s in a sandwich I’ll eat it. How the build’s going? – I almost finished mine. – Oh, let me see it! Let me see it! Whoa! That’s so cool! What is this thing? Is this a Pokemon? – Silly Daddy. This is an egg with the baby dragon in it. – Oh my goodness look at that cute little adorable baby dragon! Bailey, I’m just now noticing that you’re wearing an In-N-Out burger hat. We’re you wearing that inside Burger King? – Mhmm. – Oh. Awkward. Let’s see it. What’d you build? What is that? – A TIE rider. – That is so cool! What are you doing now? (clicks) Whoa! (clicks) Whoa! That is awesome! – Look at this epic light saber. – That is super cool. Wanna show me what you built? – Nothing. – You didn’t build anything? – [Jessica] Parker, show Daddy… – [Chris] Show me your Mickey Mouse. Can you show me your Mickey Mouse? That’s awesome! What does he have in his hand? What is he holding? What is that? Can you tell me? Can you tell me what it is? – Shroom. – A camera? Who else has a camera? – No one else. – No one else? You can’t think of anybody
that’s got a camera? (laughs) – Dadda? – I have a camera! – Goofy! – Goofy? Let me see Goofy! Oh, who’s that? – And Donald. – Donald. – [Bailey] You have Mini Mouse already. – [Chris] Oh, that’s so cool! Let me see Goofy. Can you show the camera? So you got Donald and Goofy. Alright, we have to get back on the road because we still have an hour
and a half left to drive. So let’s go. In case you were wondering
what I got, I got this thing. It’s a frappe. – Shoe party! – [Jessica] Shoe party? – Shoe party, shoe party, shoe party! – We are five hours into this drive, which means that it is shoe party time. And Parker has also, kind of deliriously, started describing a sign that
he saw at his friend’s house about a messy monster. He has not napped today. He does not nap in the car
no matter how tired he is. And no matter how much
he has missed his nap. Are you sleeping or having a shoe party? You gotta pick one Parker. – I was sleeping. – [Jessica] A sleeping shoe party. You saw a sign about a monster? – A messy monster. – A messy monster? What did it look like? – I didn’t see it. I just saw the sign. And Jacob was telling
me not to open the door. That there was a really tiny baby monster with a ginormous big mommy and big daddy. It was like this big! – Oh my goodness! – Hey everybody, we made it. We are now in our room and
I just got some ice cream. So the kids are in this area here, which is all blocked off. So that means it’s like we get two rooms. – [Jessica] Will you not show
me because I’m in my nighty? – Yeah, my wife is in her nightgown. So I’m trying to be modest. It’s not like, oh! It’s just I’m just trying to. She’s in her PJ’s guys. I’m gonna let her be in her PJ’s. – Can you show them the back? – This is the back of it. There you go. PJ’s. But I went down and got ice
cream, which by the way, is peanut butter chocolate ice cream. So, that’s the best way to
get welcomed to a place. This is where we’re gonna
live for the next week. We’re super excited about
it, and we’re gonna start our adventures off bright and
early tomorrow morning. We’re gonna go get breakfast first thing, and then we sign up for things. – No signing up for things first thing? – We’ll sign up for things
and then get breakfast and then who knows, take it from there. We’re here, we’re tired. I’m gonna get some work done
and then I’m gonna go to sleep. And wake up early and sign up
for things and eat breakfast and then do the things I sign up for. That’s my plan. Hi, let’s talk about
what we learned today. (guitar music) We learned that I can’t start a road trip without my sunglasses. We learned that wearing an
In-N-Out hat into another eating establishment can be awkward. And finally we learned
that if you skip nap, be sure to celebrate with a shoe party. Thanks for watching everybody. We’ll see you next time. (giggles) – [Jessica] No! No, Parker! What? Parker! How did you do that? – I didn’t know!
