We get a lot of positive feedback, we don’t have anything like this were we live Sherry Simon/Kernel’s Popcorn Express/Old Town: oh wow, that is a great place to go, they’ve got this, they’ve got that Cheris Coggins/Urban Interiors/Downtown Wichita:
We love seeing the nose prints on the windows Janelle King/The Workroom/Douglas Design District:
When friends and family are coming in from out of town, this is the place that they take
them to say look how cool Wichita is Wells: You want to look high and look low,
stand in one place, and try to soak it all in do a couple laps then turn around and
go the other way at least once Ashley Dewey/Zeep/Delano: Lots of fun fragrances
and colors Jahn: A lot of young kids and a lot of families
that have been buying here forever and stories of I remember coming in when I was a little kid Simon: We have Santa clauses and snow men
and candy canes Boewe: I think we are a good feel place to
go shopping Coggins: We want to them to have an experience
when they are shopping King: We all know you can go online and buy
gifts and things like that for people – people come to our store because they want that experience that is the cool factor behind it as well as when you are shopping with local artists, you are going to get unique items you won’t find anywhere else Dewey: You can tell there is more of that artisan community in Wichita now– Lot of
makers, lot of small businesses Simon: I get people in here sometimes that
are just — Oh my god, how do you even pick just one Jahn: Its an exciting place and everyone seems to come in and enjoy it Wells: Seeing my store as a place that represents Wichita Boewe: we are a destination Simon: Its just something they have never
seen before Jahn: I sometimes say we sell joy here, because
people come in and they are not trying to fix a problem or pay a parking ticket, they
are here for fun, for food. Coggins: With all the new businesses…just
so many fun things to do Dewey: I love the artistic culture and small
business culture that Wichita has King: When I talked about that experience
and that energy, it is really exciting here during the holiday season, you can feel the
place is just a buzz because people are out all over, You will see one person touch a
product and someone else is sudden like really interested in it, it’s a fun place to be and there is a lot of excitement around it.
