Horton Common CS – Camping and Caravanning Club

Horton Common CS is a Certified Site with the Camping and Caravanning Club The entrance to the caravan site is off a straight stretch of Lask Edge Road You can pull directly on site onto the 18m concrete/grasscrete entrance A mast is next to the entrance which means the entrance to the caravan site is very hard to miss As a CS with the Camping and Caravanning Club we have a limited number of pitches To use the campsite you must be members of the club, however you can sign up on site We can accommodate up to five caravans/motorhomes and up to ten tents/trailer tents Tents are pitched on the area of the field to the left of the entrance Caravans and motorhomes are placed to the right on their own numbered pitches Each pitch provides lots of space for awnings and car parking During the booking process you will be provided with your pitch number Each pitch faces the stunning views over the Staffordshire Moorlands and Peak District National Park The pitches are fairly level, however we do provide blocks and levelling pads The grass on the field is cut weekly at a low/medium cut Each pitch is provided with a 16A power supply and individual RCD breaker Each pitch has its own water supply with two taps One tap can be used for a permanent connection to your van or Aquaroll We provide waste troughs with attached drain hose for grey water removal You position the drainpipe over the surface water drain located in front of the pitches The trough/hose can cope with full water use such as a shower The second water tap can be used for filling water containers This is the view in front of the caravan and camper van pitches It is one of the best views over the Staffordshire Moorlands and Peak District National Park This certified site is open from March 1st to October 31st There are local shops and pubs within a mile All the major supermarkets are within 10 miles There are lots of local attractions including Biddulph Grange Gardens and Rudyard Lake with its steam railway Little Moreton Hall, Jodrell Bank and the Lovell Telescope Various theme parks such as Water World and Alton Towers You can see the whole of the historic market town of Leek from the caravan site A bus passes the campsite Mon-Fri which goes into Leek You can find details on the site through the Camping and Caravanning Club website You can also visit our own website www.hortoncommon.co.uk We hope you enjoyed the video and come to visit the caravan site soon
