Indoor Picnic – set the mood

Indoor Picnic – set the mood

Today we’re having a picnic indoors. [ music ] Come on in. Welcome to my home. Well today isn’t gonna go as planned. I was gonna give you a whole video about picnics. And instead we’re in between rainstorms. So that’s gonna be something interesting. So I’m gonna have to bring the picnic inside and I’ll show you how I do that. It’s not really hard and doesn’t take a lot of time. It’s just a little thought processes that you really have to go through to get that feeling of being outside at a picnic, inside Well, let’s get started.
First things first, pick out where you want to picnic at. Yes I could reinvent the wheel and picnic in my living room. O the floor. not going to happen. I’m going to do it at my dining room table simply because my kitchen is right here. and there are some advantages to an indoor picnic. Simply because well
everything you need is right there. It’s easy to keep the hot things hot and the cold things cold. But you want to get that outdoor feeling inside and right now I’m not really feeling outdoorsy. Well sure I like my dining room. I love the whole setup of it however, It’s not really giving me an outdoor vibe. So I think I’m going to do is, I am going to try switching out a few things. to see if that’ll give me more of that outdoor feeling. We went from the blue and green to mainly just leafy green. I just pulled in the plants, most of them are fake that I had simply
because well if I can’t be outside I’m gonna feel like I’m outside a lot of
green and then I set the table. What was interesting is When I first set the table I set it up with the white plates the green smaller plates, the tied knife and silverware with a napkin and the I remembered that I did have the split
piece of wood that I could very easily use. and guess what I very easily used it. I put it on the table. With mint in a vase. Why did it put the mint in there? because it gave me an extra little bit of greenery. yeah. and sort of reminds you of the fact that it could have been a fallen tree and you’re just
eating overtop of a fallen tree. It’s sort of these little tiny things that
give you that nice little feeling of actually being out on
a picnic. You’re outside. Now the very next thing that I did was sound. take a look at this normally. [ silence ] now we can add some nice soothing sounds. music that you can listen to. [ music ] Then after the music we can actually
also add just nature sounds. [ nature sounds ] The nature sounds really give you that feeling that you are outside and you can have this wonderful kind of feeling, this wonderful I’m at a picnic with a tablecloth and everything, and you notice that I didn’t use your normal picnic things paper plates and plastic
silverware no I wanted to do a little bit nicer I used mason jars with straws in them for the drinks. and this is a great way to do an indoor picnic and give you that outdoor feel. Yow you’ll notice that from my light I did try to keep the light less… warm white. Behind me right there
you can see a warm white light bulb and that does feel like you are inside
because of the warm white If you turn that off and just go with daylight. It makes you feel more like you’re outside you don’t feel 100% like you’re outside, but add that with the nature sounds and it is really cool. it just gives you this sense of relaxing and peace and quiet and it’s one of those things that you
can set up and really enjoy have some fun with this. I mean make your own nature… perverse, I guess you would say In your own home. Well let me know what you think about that down in the comments. I’d love to know how you handle the indoor picnic. [ rain ] Oh. It’s starting to rain right now I’m glad I did move this indoors. I hope I get to see you again next time. If you like this video give it a thumbs up You can share it. Don’t forget to subscribe and check out the other videos on this channel. I love making these videos for you, and I hope I get to see you again
next time. [ music ]

  1. I like nature sounds, so that would be my go-to. I haven't thought about any kind of picnic in a while, so this gives me some ideas.

  2. I love this!! Question….is there a reason that you would not open the window and enjoy the ourside air and view? I know there is a reason, but I would like to know why!!!
