Air Canada, Enterprise, Uber, McDonald’s, Fogo de Chao, Red Lobster, Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt Regency, Disney World, the Superdome, Yellowstone and Harriet Tubman national parks. Need a couple more? How about Carnival Cruise Lines and the Olympic Games? Well if you haven’t guessed it by now, these are all leading companies and brands that come under the gigantic global umbrella called Hospitality Tourism. Taken together they represent the world’s largest industry in terms of dollars generated and people employed. What, you didn’t know that? You thought maybe banking, oil, pharmaceuticals – nope – Hospitality Tourism. But don’t fret. Most of us don’t see this enchanted forest for the glamorous leaves on the trees. This edX course is spread over five modules and will provide a great clearing in that forest. As we explore: one, the professional
language or jargon of Hospitality Tourism; two, careers to match your Passion; three, the travel side; four, the food side, and finally; five, the roof over your head side, or lodging side. EdX nation presents Hospitality Tourism as the industry of fun. Completion of this course will help you find your joy. Let’s do it!
