Japan Travel: Kyoto: Fushimi Inari-taisha

Good morning It’s Thursday today I’m having a bit of weird day today I’m here in Kyoto and I don’t quite understand how to use the transport here at the moment I’m in the train which I think is going where I want to go i hope a little bit difficult it turned out I was in the wrong train, good thing that I asked as it was the wrong one and apparently the train over there is the right one so i need to get somehow to the other platform i’m not sure – it’s so difficult here Hooray! I made it here There are crowds of tourists here, I haven’t seen that anywhere else because we are in Osaka for most of the time and there are less people than in Kyoto and now I’ve arrived at one of the main temples so many people it ruins the experience a little bit but anyway I’m sure it will be great The place I am at is called Fushimi Inari shrine It is the temple as I understood in the name of God of rice and there many statues of foxes because it is believed that foxes are his helpers I’m now approaching the main entrance, I’ll show you now and there you can see two foxes are sitting I’m starting by walk up and it will be a long path with orange gates I believe that every person can buy such gates so people can set such gates for themselves, if they want to we’ll see to get to the top i think it’s about 30 minutes hike and from there I believe will be a beautiful view of Kyoto so I’ll try to get there because I’m here on my own I think it will be impossible to make a picture first of all because of the amount of people in the background and secondly it would mean asking people to wait with you for the crowd to pass by so it’s quite complicated so f you want beautiful pictures from here you need to get here with your other half or with a friend who is willing to take photos of you but anyways I am very happy that I see that and I will have this video memory by the way it looks great like that, maybe I can take a selfie here are all the gates today is a great weather, I’m lucky it’s not too hot, just pleasantly warm it’s not sunny, quite cloudy but it is perfect weather to walk a lot so I’m very glad by the way the gates here are much taller and tiny bit more sparse that they were in the other pathway because I think we are approaching another temple there are few of those here and another big gate here I think these are the prices of the gates the cheapest ones are 175000 yen and the most expensive ones are 1300000 that is how you get yourself a gate despite not too hot weather, it’s very hot because of the constant ascent like this I’ve made it to the viewpoint Kyoto is behind me, but you can’t see as it’s against the light I will film separately, but it’s lovely you can continue walking up the hill over there, it’s a huge hike but I will stop here, as I don’t have much time and I will need to go back for dinner I have a big success I managed to take at least one picture I asked one elderly man to take it and he made a greta photo of me and the best thing there are no people on the background at all!!! now I have one photo! look who I met here it’s a cat I’ve arrived at Gion, the district we visited with Junko on our first day I want to go to the market which is called Nishiki market to eat there and maybe buy more souvenirs however I don’t think I need more souvenirs but it’s always interesting to have a look here is a beautiful view onto the mountains behind me I decided to try local food, not sure what it is now i’m waiting for it I’ll let you know whether it was tasty or not I’m very hungry, I only had breakfast today so I am going to try the weird things you can buy here plastic food for any taste this crab thing was quite tasty my next food looks like that it’s a small pie with prawn looks like a regular pie but it’s a Japanese one with a prawn I hope it’s also tasty my camera wouldn’t focus i think this will be my last food it is this bun like Chinese buns and it is with the beef originated in Kyoto I think it should be very tasty people who were eating it looked that they are really enjoying there food actually here are many European people here it is the only place where I see non-Asian faces and even tourists from Israel whom you can here everywhere ok I will be eating i’ll let you know how was it i think i will be making my way out of here because there is this weird smell here mainly fish smell and also other strange smells for example various pickled things they pickle for example various vegetables, unknown to European person so the smell here not the most pleasant one you could imagine because it is also a fresh fish market I’m breathing through my mouth for the last 10 minutes I’m back at the hotel I have about an hour to rest the Kostya will come and pick me up for the dinner with his colleagues every time we travel in Asia somewhere in the middle of the journey you start to crave Western food after you only eat local food so now I was walking out of the station and here in Japan they are actively preparing for Halloween and everything is in this theme so I couldn’t hold back and I bought a Krispy Creme doughnut it looks like that it’s a small Dracula whom I’m going to eat now I know that it s very unhealthy and not good for you but but I decided to confess Kostya is here back from the exhibition you are not present in my blogs at all! I am alone all the time I already want to be not alone, I was just saying to Kostya that I couldn’t do a gap year on my own I am only coming to get cash so we are going to the dinner I don’t think I will be vlogging any more today so goodbye see you tomorrow we will be together tomorrow it will be more fun at least for me, not sure about Kostya me too alright, Goodbye!
