  4. When i saw this in my recommended, my immediate reaction was "oh god i dont want to cry again" but here i am anyway

  5. This song will always remind me of being a child and wanting to escape something. I think that was part of the theme of the movie, Chihiro was dealing with that move away from her friends and home town and then she loses her parents and is whisped away into a fantasy realm. And even as an adult the theme still resonates with our current world and all the nasty and terrible things going on. Makes you think back to being a child and wanting to escape the world and its troubles. Incredibly nostalgic song that is so strongly bittersweet.

  6. The ppl who disliked it probably got so emotional that tears blurred their sight and instead of clicking the like button they disliked or they just got angrily moved by this masterpiece

  7. First time I hear about this man, but I already love his gift, his talent, his love for real music.
I will definitely search for more.

  8. It amuses me that a video like this still has captions. Imagine if the music really had something translated into text captions… Fortunately, it doesn't need to, does it? I understood very well.

  9. 海外のコメントが沢山あると久石譲さんが世界中に知れ渡ってるんだなぁと…

  10. No one:
    Absolutely no one:
    Not a single soul:

Joe Hisashi: drops One Summer's Day after 18 years release of Spirited Away on Youtube

  11. I had a friend in highschool who had ableton, and we would make beats together in graphics class, and he used a different, less dramatic version of this song a lot, so this is devastating to me.

  12. Everything Joe creates is pure magic. It’s also full of nostalgia, making you feel things you’ve felt before and even things you’ve never experienced. This is why I love this composer. Everything he makes is a masterpiece.

  13. The way the other instruments complement the piano is so amazingly beautiful I can listen to this over and over forever.

  14. Love yoiuuuueudusuy!!!!!!!! 😭😭😭✨✨✨❤️❤️❤️❤️(I don’t even know why tears are falling down my cheek rn, I clapped at the end 👏👏👏)

  15. Studio Ghibli is the best studio ever😭😭 I really like their all movies espicially: Spirited Away
    Castle in the Sky
    My Neighbor Totoro
    Princess Mononoke
    Howl’s Moving Castle
    Tales From Earthsea

  16. This song gives me that daughter is moving away from family and spends one last moment with her dying father vibe

  17. sometimes, in my teenage and weird life, i have to stop listening to stravinsky and shostakovich like a madwoman and listen to pieces like this.

  18. 🙏🏻…❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  20. The saddest part of Spirited Away for me is the fact that Chihiro won’t remember it.
We don’t remember much of our childhood, and as we get older, we won’t be able to recall faces of the ones we love. That is my greatest fear, and this music reminds me of it.
The hairband is all that’s left, and nobody would be able to give it meaning.

  21. 😭😭😭😭😭.. it broke me down and melted my heart 💖.. my childhood days with the studio ghibli's movies..
