and Foods. Today we are going to share the Kodaikanal Tour Plan. Kodaikanal is a beautiful
hill station of India located in the state Tamil Nadu. This place is also one of the
most famous honeymoon destinations in our country. Nestled amidst the slopes of Palani
Hills, this place has cool and pleasant weather throughout the year. That’s why you may
visit this place any time, but it is better to avoid monsoon, which is from July to September.
At an altitude of almost 7000 feet, in this place, you will find scenic waterfalls, fresh
green mountain slopes, and crystal clear lakes. Here is a short 4 Days tour plan of this princess
of hill stations. Day-1
In order to go to Kodaikanal first reach Tiruchirapalli or Trichy airport from any part of the country.
From there take a car to reach Kodaikanal. Kodaikanal is nearly 200 km away from Trichy
and it will take almost 5 hours to reach Kodaikanal from Trichy by road. A local cab will charge
around Rs3500 for this trip. Upon reaching Kodaikanal check in to your hotel.
Day -2 On day 2, morning go for local sightseeing
tour. A local cab will charge around Rs 3000 for a whole day tour. First, go to visit
Coakers Walk: Coakers Walk is a beautiful man-made one-kilometer-long
walking path built on the mountains in the Kodaikanal city. It offers gorgeous views
of the surroundings. Next, go to Kodai Lake:
Kodaikanal Lake is a manmade lake in the Kodaikanal city which is also known as Kodai Lake. The
star-shaped lake is centrally located in Kodaikanal and is surrounded by the rich green Palani
Hills Range. From there go to visit Bear Shola Falls. Located
at a distance of just 2 kilometers from the Kodaikanal Lake, the Bear Shola Falls is a
popular tourist spot in the region. The quiet and peaceful atmosphere of this destination
is a true heaven on earth. Next, go to visit Pine Forest. Situated in
the southwest of Kodaikanal, Pine Forest is one of the most famous tourist spots in the
city. It showcases the mesmerizing nature. Next destination is Silver Cascade Water Falls.
The Silver Cascade Falls formed as a result of the overflowing of the famous man-made
Kodai Lake and are the perfect way to have a break while on a long road trip.
From there go to Kurinji Temple. Kurunji Temple is mainly dedicated to Lord Muruga and is
dexterously based at a distance of 3 km from the lake.
Next, go to visit Thalaiyar Falls. It is also known as Rat Tail Falls, Thalaiyar Falls is
located in the lush green slopes of Palani Hills in Kodaikanal. With a height of 297
meters, it is the highest waterfall in Tamil Nadu.
Day-3 On day 3, first go to Upper Lake View. Situated
3.2 km away from the Coakers Walk, Upper Lake View is a famous tourist attraction in Kodaikanal
and one which is worth visiting on the way to Green valley viewpoint.
Next, go to Fairy Falls. The enchanting Fairy Falls is the source of the Pambar River which
joins into the Vaigai River later on. From there go to Pillar Rocks. Constituting
a beautiful mini garden; the place is named so as it has three vertically positioned boulders
reaching up to a height of 400 feet. From there visit Dolphin’s Nose. The Dolphin’s
Nose viewpoint is where you can experience Kodaikanal at its best. Enjoy the stunning
beauty of this hill station here. Next, go to Green Valley View Point. Formerly
known as Suicide point, the Green Valley Viewpoint offers a breathtaking view of the plains,
valleys and the hills. The mesmeric view of the Vaigai Dam from here is a lifetime experience.
From there go to Silent Valley View Point. Silent Valley View is located close to the
Pillar rock garden in Kodaikanal. The point is famous for offering some stunning views
of the Silent Valley. Day-4
On day 4 head back to Trichy for departure. Where to stay:
