LEATHER TRAVEL PURSE REVIEW: Double Zip Crossbody Clutch by Wanderers Travel Co

Aloha! This is Heidi at Kensho Quest. In
this video I’m going to review this leather travel purse by Wanderers Travel
Co. This style is called the Venetian Grande Passport crossbody. I’ve been
traveling with this purse for the past two months in Malaysia and Vietnam. I
will show you the two ways to wear this bag; the features and organization; and
then I’ll show you what I have packed inside. Aloha! Welcome to Kensho Quest. We’re a worldschooling family, currently in Penang, Malaysia. Please subscribe for packing tips and travel inspiration. And give us some thumbs up! Don’t forget to subscribe. It can be worn either as a
crossbody bag or as a wristlet clutch. Let’s take a closer look at this
Venetian Grande Passport. It’s s double zip clutch, so it has these two zippers that run parallel. Over here on the side is a little charm that has the Wanderers
Travel Co “W” and it says, “Not all those who wander are lost”. Over here is the
attached wristlet strap. And then you can detach the crossbody strap here, on each side. I like that this crossbody strap is adjustable, so you can get it to adjust
properly for your height. One of the top features of the bags from Wanderers
Travel Co is that they’re made with full grain leather. It’s so soft. It’s
nice and slouchy. Since it’s full grain leather it has its original texture and
each purse will be unique. On this side it has embossed “Wanderers” and on this side their “W” logo. Let’s go ahead and look inside the internal organization. This
pocket first. Both sides have internal pockets. On this side it says “Wanders
Travel Co”. There is a slit pocket here a slit pocket here. And a zipper pocket right here. It’s similar organization on the other
side. Turn it around. Open it up. Here it has over on this side a slit pocket here, a slit pocket here. And then a zipper pocket here. One thing I wish was
different about this purse is I would prefer if this was a lighter color
lining. I got used to the bags I carried before had a lighter lining which
provides a good contrast and makes it easier to find your stuff inside the bag. This Azzurra color is a dark teal. I wear a lot of teal and navy blue in my wardrobe,
so when I saw they came out with this color I was really excited. This is a
great color bag for me. I’ve been pretty rough on this purse.
I really don’t baby my bags at all. I use them while I’m traveling. So after two months of wear, the stitching on the bottom here is separating a little bit. I
think the main thing is that at one point I may have had one of
the pockets just stuffed way too full, so that the pocket was really bulging out
and that might have caused that stitching to start to come undone. I’ve
also put a little scratch on the front of the bag right here.
I don’t mind too much. I like to use my bags. Empty this purse weighs 1.6 pounds. I think it is a little on the heavy side because it has hardware on it.
I’d like a little bit lighter weight of a purse. One thing I’d like to note is
that in between the sections this is connected here. It is not an open pocket
so you can’t put anything in here. I was looking at another similar style purse
that’s a double zip clutch crossbody from Pacsafe and in that purse you could
actually slide something down here like a slip pocket. But in this one it’s
closed off. Let’s go ahead and take a look at how I pack the Venetian Grande.
This side here with the Wanderers “W” logo is the side that I wear against my body
we’ll start with that pocket. Inside there’s a little slip pocket here where I keep my cell phone. In this other slip pocket we keep our Osmo Pocket for
filming our family travel vlogs. Let’s move our hats out of the way. This is my daughter’s sun hat and my sun hat. Right down here I have my Pacsafe coin purse that I use
as my travel wallet. Here I have a reusable grocery shopping bag so that I
always have a bag with me even if I forget to bring one. It looks like I have
an extra something hiding in here. Oh, we just stopped off for an ice-cream a
coconut ice-cream and have that in there. And then in this zip pocket I have my lip balm; keycard for the
building we’re currently staying in in Penang, Malaysia; and a tiny little
flashlight that’s convenient to have in my purse. So this side is the mommy side of my bag. I think this purse is perfect for moms
because you can keep divided your items from your kids items. So the side that
says “Wanderers” this is where I keep stuff for my toddler daughter. It fits
nicely this Planet Wise wet/dry clutch. And in here I keep a paper towel, a prefold to use as a towel, and a spare outfit for her and a cloth wipe. She’s
newly potty-trained so it’s nice to have along an extra outfit. If anything
gets wet I can move it into this waterproof pocket. This is actually
why I chose the Venetian Grande instead of their original Venetian purse is that
the Grande is big enough to fit this Planet Wise wet/dry clutch in it, which
is exactly what I needed. Then inside this zip pocket, only if it was a travel day like we were going to the airport, I would keep our family’s passports in there. And it fits all four of our passports at
once easily into this zipper pocket here. I hope you found that helpful. If the
Venetian Grande Passport looks like the travel purse for you, I’ll leave a link
in the description box below. You can also browse the other leather bags available from Wanderer’s Travel Co. If you like this double zip crossbody design but you’d prefer a purse with built in anti-theft features, then I’ll also link
to the Pacsafe double zip cross body purse, as well. Thanks for watching! Please subscribe for packing tips and travel inspiration. We upload family travel vlogs every Sunday.
