Mango Slush Recipe by Manjula, Tropical Summer Drink

Today I will be making mango slush. Mango slush is just perfect for hot summer days. Very refreshing and cooling. This can also be served as sherbet or a drink. Mango slush tastes great and super easy to make. This recipe will serve 2. For this recipe we need: 1 large ripe mango Which I have already peeled and cubed and it made approximately 1.5 cups of cubed mangoes. 3 tablespoons of sugar About 1/2 inch of ginger And this will make about 2 teaspoons of ginger juice. 1 lime, first I will use this to make zest. Zest we will use for garnishing. And then we need 2 tablespoons of ginger juice. We also need, 3 cups of ice. Mango slush is more enjoyable with lot of crushed ice. First I will make lime zest and use the same lime to make juice. Then shred the ginger to take out the juice. And then I am ready to make the mango slush. Add mangoes, sugar, juice and ice in blender and blend. And slush is ready. To make the zest, just scrape very lightly the top part of lime. Just the green part. And while you are making the zest it smells really good. It’s enough zest. It gives the nice color and very nice aroma to the slush. Just take out the juice. Need about 2 tablespoons of juice. This looks good. And now we are going to make the ginger juice. So just shred the ginger. And just squeeze it. This looks about 2 teaspoons of ginger juice. I am ready to make mango slush. Add mangoes. Sugar Ginger juice Lime juice And ice in the blender. And blend it on high speed till all the ice is crushed and it’s smooth. Don’t over blend, because then ice will melt. It took me about 30 seconds and it looks really good. Mango slush is looking beautiful. And now I am going to garnish it. Just sprinkle little bit of zest, gives a very nice color. Mango slush is looking beautiful and refreshing. Lime zest adds a nice color and aroma. This is a perfect summer treat. Ice blend mango with ginger and lime juice adds a tropical flavor.
