Hi Everyone I am Altuğ Galip I am Alp Galip, and we are Galipbros. On this episode, we are traveling around the Mexico. We will visit Quintanaroo and Yucatan areas to share our experiences about Mayan history, Mexican culture, natural beauties and useful travel tips. Mexico is located in Central America region. It is biggest country as population and second largest country as area in Latin American countries. It is also one of the most popular tourist destination in American region with its magnificant natural beauties. The next day after we arrived to Mexico, we took a boat tour to explore Isla Mujeres island next to the Cancun. We paid 65 dolar per person for all day tour included lunch and unlimited beverages in the boat. If you don’t have much time, it is the fastest way to explore the island. In Isla Mujeres, the water is calm and clear. Because of that it is popular for scuba diving and snorkelling. Also it has underwater museum with 500 sculptures. Mexico has tropical climate and weather averages is between 23 and 28 celsius during the year. Rain season is between May and October. In addition, there is a risk of hurricanes is between August and October. There are lagoons in the island. The largest of them is to be reached by boat through the canals. For the lunch, we visited one of the big complex with sandy beach. There are amazing clear water, tropical birds and chill-out athmosphere to have relax time. It is possible to feel exotic vibes inside your body. As you know, some authorities say its dangerous to travel to Mexico. During our trip, we have not witnessed any kind of bad happenings except high security all around the cities. Of course, it’s helpful to read safe travel tips before you go there. Isla Mujeres has approximately 12000 inhabitants, and 25000 visitors every day. Playa Norte runs along the northern end of the island. It has shallow and clear waters and stunning white sand. The beach is full of restaurants, bars and as well as several hotels. It has amazing picturesque landscape and underwater views. Hi Galipbros Welcome to Mexixo. Look at the best island Mexico, Isla Mujeres. Cancun Guys! Look at that… Beautiful! ”OMG Crazy Mexicans” 🙂 Tequilaaa… Tequilaaa Mexicooo 🙂 The streets of Isla Mujeres are narrow and often crowded with mopeds, golf carts and taxis. Hidalgo avenue is the main street which has many restaurants, bars and shops. There are many tourists and locals around the downtown. Also there is many massage huts at the beach side. Along the town center there is a stunning sandy beach with clear water. Everywhere is so close by walking in the center. Next day we took a tour to visit the Cenote Ikkil and Chichen Itza in the Yucatan Region. The tour, which starts in the early morning and lasts 12 hours, is around $100 and includes transfers, all admission fees and lunch. First, we visited a very huge gift shop in one of the village on our way. There are clothing, accessories, souvenirs, decorations and everything which belongs to Mexican culture. The official currency of Mexico is the Mexican Peso. But it is possible to pay with credit cards or dollars almost anywhere. Cenote is a natural pit, or sinkhole, resulting from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes groundwater underneath. Cenote water is often very clear, as the water comes from rain water filtering slowly through the ground, and therefore contains very little suspended particulate matter. The groundwater flow rate within a cenote may be very slow. Mayans believed that cenotes were an entrance to the underworld, so they were often used for sacrifices, both human and material ones. At the Sacred Cenote found within Chichén-Itzá, archeologists have found many important ceramics, jewellery and bones. Chichen Itza was one of the largest ancient Mayan site, which is built 2800 years ago. El Castillo, also known as the Temple of Kukulcan, is a Mesoamerican step-pyramid that dominates the center of the Chichen Itza. Each of the temple’s four sides has 91 steps, and the top platform makes the 365 steps. One for each day of the year. Mayans used mathematics and astronomy science to build the pyramide. Around the site, there are many other buildings, columns and also one of the famous cenote which is called Sacred Cenote. Playa del Carmen is one of the top accommodation location for the tourists. The center is located near the sea and there is so many bars, restaurants and shops along the way. We just boarded to ferryboat, we are on the way to Cozumel Island. And we will explore what is around. See you 🙂 Cozumel Island is one of the most popular and safest touristic place in Mexico. It is 45 minutes by ferry from Playa Del Carmen. And now we rented a car and touring around the Cozumel Island. Altuğ is our driver today and we will see what will happen. 🙂 In Cozumel, rental car prices is about 40-50 US dollar per day. And it is possible to drive around the island during one day with visiting many beaches. During the Cozumel trip, we have visited many famous beaches around. The island has relaxing athmosphere, clear water and cozy beach bar and restaurants. We met with many friendly Canadian tourists and have some cultural and travel related conversations. In the downtown many places are so close by walking. And sure ferry dock is located very central location. And while we waiting our ferry time, we watched some kids who have fun with water in downtown. Hi everybody. Today we came to Tulum City to explore ancient sites. Coatis, also known as the coatimundis, are members of raccoon family. They seem so cute, but can be aggresive too. Especially if they are thirsty. 🙂 Tulum is the ancient site of a pre-Columbian Mayan walled city, which served as a major port for Coba, in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. There are many buildings from ancients times inside the area. It is located on a 12meter high cliff along the eastern shore of the Yucatan Peninsula in the Caribbean Sea. The site protected very well and nowadays it is one of the most popular touristic place of Mexico. At the Tulum there is an amazing pictureque sea view with historical structure. Inside the area there are many iguanas living. And i am sure, they are not happy because of so many tourists and noise around. 🙂 And now we are at the Playa Paraiso. Its one of the famous beach club of the Tulum. Tulum also has one of the best beaches around the Mexico. It has stunning white sand and crystal clear water. It has a very exotic appearance with the coconut tree which is stretched out towards the sea. Along the beach, it is possible to see many endemic bird species around. Mexico has so rich biodiversity. End of the day we visited another small cenote. But this one was like an underground lagoon. It was little bir scary but great experience. Hi everybody, we are Alp and Altuğ Galip brothers.
