The reason why I chose BU to do this course is because it’s one of the best Hospitality schools in the UK. That gives me no better excuse than specialist knowledge and they have been from the start. There is no better place. This degree is intended to provide students with an advanced learning of running operations across the hospitality industry. Both domestically and globally. Some of the models that I study is management organisation, that focusses on cultural differences, mainly and how to converge people within those and then you have issues within hospitality, looking at how terrorism can affect the trade of the industry. All sorts of different aspects, it covers a wide range and what drove me the most to come and do this course was the actual fact that it is not all academia. One of my favourite parts is when we all go up to London to host our own conference with industry offering all our students undiluted access to some of our industry’s best. The number of opportunities are really endless. We have students in local government in home countries, we have vice presidents., at least two international hotel chains. It’s a massive industry. First of all its all over the world. you could travel all over the world getting a job. There is job security and in depth knowledge for me to take my own risks and hopefully one day own a business myself. BU as a tourist destination has over 5 million visitors every year. Giving us a town of real life case study. Often there is hundreds and hundreds of hospitality businesses that we work with and analyse. Bournemouth is great as a place to live. It can be quiet, it can be small, you’ve got the nightlife you’ve got the beach and the multicultural aspect of it all, you meet everyone from all over the world, it’s a great place to come and study.
