Hello, hello!. Good morning travelers. Today is Wednesday or Thursday, one of those two days. We will be going to the south of Taiwan to a town called Kaohsiung or Kaohsiung. Something like that. We will take a bus. I believe it will take us around 5 hours to get to our destination. But alright!. On my way there I will do my Chinese Homework. We found ourselves on our way to the train station. We have Matthias from France and my two friends from California, Kaitlin and Katherine. Later we will be joined by two other girls. One from Spain and another two girls from California. We have arrived to the city of Kaohsiung. Southern part of Taiwan and Right behind us is the place where we are staying. The owner charged us 17 dollars very cheap, a great offer. Because yesterday was a holiday and all of the places of Kenting, in the south, where we had planned to go at the beginning were full. Great offer, the owner made us a favor by renting us the place. Alright kids, this is the little room in which Matthias and I are staying. That is Matthias’s bed and this is my bed Like I was telling you guys, well it is not very luxurious but I believe that for 17 dollars and while considering that it was a holiday we payed less than what we thought we would pay. A Taiwanese house, normal. And in a bit we will be going to a huge temple. I believe it is more north and it will take us around 2 hours to get to that place. But I’ve heard it is one of the biggest temples of Taiwan and if you don’t know or if you know me well, you guys know that Asian temples are one of my favorite things. And we will be showing you guys a couple videos in a bit. Just in case you guys didn’t know, I couldn’t record yesterday. Right after we arrived but we went to the east of Taiwan. We went to the Taiwan independence celebration. There was an event in the city of Puting, something like that. We hanged out there, everything was calm. But alright, today I will not be lazy to record. Alright, we are on our third method of transportation which is a bus. We took it from from Zuoying station We payed 60 NTD which is equivalent to approximately 2 USD. I believe it is a trip of 1 hour 23 minutes and we are almost there In about 5 minutes, I can already see it from here. We will show you guys a couple clips in a bit. Alright!. I believe we are around this area and we will navigate through this space. It looks huge!. Our point of destination is that Buddha, it is an enormous Buddha. I believe we are in a a “mall” like place. And right outside the Buddha can be seen. I expected them to charge us a type of fee to enter to enter the museum. But they didn’t charge us, it’s completely free. And I also noticed that the majority of the people that is here is Taiwanese. It’s so hot!, and the sun bothers my eyes. But look, here we can observe the precious Buddha. And little by little we are getting closer to the Buddha. The museum is called Fo Guang Shan Buddhist museum. Alright, if you are thinking of visiting this place it is open from 9am to 7pm. During my trips around Asia I had noticed that they don’t charge any fees at the temples. I believe it is part of Asian culture or by the fact that it is a temple, fees shouldn’t be charged. Because its’ suppose to welcome, I imagine a temple is built for that reason, to welcome every single person. Alright, and I was buying myself a soda and look who I found here, I found Katherine from California, Paty from Spain, and Kaitlin from California as well. We just took part of a Buddhist mass. It took us an hour and we prayed to Buddha. Here we come with Kristin, with paty, and with Kaitlin. In a bit we will take video of the enormous Buddha. Its so hot!!. So many stairs. To my understanding, they built this place to collect some type of funds for the Buddhist people. Here’s Paty, Kaitlin, and Kristin. The twins we call them. My friend here Paty, we didn’t even notice but the walk to the Buddha is a bit long. It took us around…?. It will take us around 20 minutes. To my understanding, they claim that this is one of the biggest Buddha’s here in Taiwan or the biggest bronze Buddha in the world. So it’s well known here in Taiwan. And so we will be getting closer little by little. See you guys in a bit!. Alright, right beneath the Buddha I just showed you guys we can find a Scripture Hall. It says it is open on weekends from 9 to 5 but it is currently closed. We can see a couple images of the Buddhist paying tribute, I imagine it is some type of event. But I must admit I have no idea what it is. Alright, these are the images I was telling you guys about. We can see all of the Buddhist, we are underneath this Buddha. Right here!. I really liked this quote that reads, “By copying scriptures you can concentrate on the moment through focusing the mind on every single stroke. You can also dedicate the merits of copying to your love ones wishing them well in both body and mind”. Very cool!. Alright, I think it is time to go. My battery is at 3%, I wanted to record more. Anyways, very precious. I loved the Buddha!. Tomorrow I will show another blog, I believe we will be going to the beach and to other cool places. Other cool places and all. Very cool!. Last goodbye to the Buddha!.
