And Ooty or Udaghamandalam is a beautiful hill town in Tamil Nadu district. It is a
popular hill station located in Nilgiri hills. Once the favourite summer retreat of the British
this hill station is now a famous tourist destination. Here is a 4 Nights and 5 days
tour plan of Bangalore Coorg OOty. Day-1
On day 1 of your tour reach Bangalore either by train or by car. From there take a car
to reach Coorg. Coorg is 260 km away from Bangalore and it will take almost 6 hours
to reach coorg from Bangalore. Upon reaching to Coorg check in to your hotel.
Day-2 On day 2 go for a local sightseeing tour around
Coorg. A local car will charge around Rs 4000 for a whole day trip.
First go to visit Abbey Falls. Abbey Falls is located almost 10 kilometres away from
Madikeri town and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Coorg. The 70 feet
high waterfalls and its lush green surroundings are the most spectacular locations of Western
Ghats. From there go to Iruppu Falls. Iruppu Falls
is a fresh water cascade located in the Brahmagiri Mountain Range, in the Kodagu district of
Karnataka. From Iruppu Falls go to Madikeri Fort. It
is a 17th century fort built by Muddu Raja using mud. The ancient structure was rebuilt
by Tipu Sultan in granite. Next visit Dubare Elephant Camp. The Dubare
Elephant camp offers a unique adventure to visitors by allowing them the experience of
living in coexistence with the trained elephants on-site.
Next go to Tadiandamol Peak. Tadiandamol is the highest mountain peak in Coorg located
at an elevation of 1748m. The view from the top of this hill is unparalleled.
Next go to Talakaveri. Talacauvery is the source of the river Kaveri and is located
on the Brahmagiri hill in Kodagu district, Karnataka. It is located at 1,276 m. above
the sea level. Next Visit Mallalli Falls. The stunning milky
white waterfalls, lies in the northern region of Kodagu district in the south-western Indian
State Karnataka. Day-3
On 3rd day of your tour go to Ooty from Coorg. The distance of Ooty from Coorg is 240km and
it will take around 6 hours to reach Ooty from Coorg. On your way visit Mudumalai National
Park. The Mudumalai National Park is located in the Ooty-Mysore route and can be entered
from both Ooty and Mysore. The National park was recently declared a Tiger Reserve with
a population of about 50 tigers. The park houses more than 500 species of animals, birds,
reptiles and even more species of insects. The park is open all days of the week. The
timings are from 7am to 9am and from 3pm to 6 pm.

On day 4 of your tour go for Ooty local sightseeing tour.
First visit Ooty Rose Garden – This place is pride of Ooty and here you can
see more than 20 thousand variety of roses. It is one of 35 elite rose gardens around
the world and is a winner of the Garden of Excellence Award for South Asia.
After rose garden visit Ooty Lake This is an artificial lake, built in 1825
by John Sullivan. The Lake is one of the most popular tourist attractions of Ooty. Enjoy
a walk around the Lake and a boat ride here. Next visit Ooty Botanical Garden
The Botanical garden of ooty is established in the year 1848 and has many species of rare
plants. From Botanical garden go to Doddabetta Peak
It is the highest point of Nilgiris hills. The height of this place is about 2,623 meters.
It is also the second highest peak in South India. The place is known for breath taking
view of the landscape around it. Next visit Deer Park
It is about 1 km away from the Ooty Lake. Other than deers like Sambhar and the Chithal,
the park is a home of variety of animals. After Deer park go to Avalanche Lake
Located at a distance of 28 kilometers from Ooty and surrounded by lush green fields,
this lake offers a breathtaking scenic beauty. Next go to Pykara Waterfalls
20 kms away from Ooty Pykara River and the waterfalls is a beautiful place which is declared
as a heritage site. This beautiful place is a must visit while you are in Ooty.
Day-5 On 5th day, go to Coonoor from Ooty. The distance
of Coonoor from ooty is 19 Km. You can enjoy a ride of Niligiri Mountain Railways- One
of the heritage toy train rides of India on your way to Coonoor from ooty. The train take
1 hour 20 mins to reach Coonor from ooty. The famous places to visit in Coonoor are:
Coonoor – Coonoor is one of the largest hill stations
after Ooty in the Nilgiri Hills. It is situated at an altitude of 1,850 m above sea level.
Sim’s Park – Located at a height of 1780 meters, Sim’s
Park is a botanical garden which was established in 1874. It has more than 1000 species of
trees including Queensland Karry Pine, Rudraksha and many more.
Lamb’s Rock – Located on the way to Dolphin’s Nose in
Ooty, Lamb’s Rock is also known as Echo Rock. The place is famous for natural beauty.
Dolphin’s Nose – Located 10 km from Coonoor, Dolphin’s Nose
is a peak offering enchanting view of the Nilgiri Hills and the Catherine Falls. The
peak of the hills is a look alike of the nose of a dolphin.
Tea Garden – Conoor is known as the tea garden town. A
tour to these tea plantations is quite refreshing. In the evening go for shopping in the local
market. Ooty is famous for handmade chocolates, cheese, spices, authentic honey and exotic
tea and coffee powder. Day-6
On 6th day head back to Bangalore for Departure. Where to stay
