Recycled Plastic Delux Picnic Table for Schools and Nurseries

Hello my name is Lewis Walch, I’m one of the
directors of Kedel, which is a company based in Colne in Lancashire and we make products
for schools and institutions made from British Recycled Plastic. And what I want to show
you today is one of our products here which is a child’s picnic bench which is ideal for
nursery’s and junior schools from 3 – 11 year olds. It’s got just the right height. It’s
got – I’m gonna walk over to it now – we’ve got folding seats so if it rains you’re not
going to end up with a puddle on the seat, and even if you do it wipes off it doesn’t
absorb any moisture. If any of the children get marks on it you’ll find that the marks
can be wiped off with a bit of WD-40 and a bit of thousands wire wool, just rubs off, it’s as good as new. The material is, as I said recycled plastic; it’s actually made
from polystyrene but it’s the most wood like material that I’ve ever come across. It’s ideal for the job. There’s no rot. There’s no splinters. There’s no painting. There’s basically no maintenance.
This product will probably last you for a lifetime and we guaruntee for 5 years minimum. And you can clean it with bleach or disinfectant; just wipe it off and it becomes completely
like new. It doesn’t age as you get with wood. You don’t start to see it looking mottled
and wrinkled and splintered and broken as you do with wood. And we’ve put them in a
lot of schools already. They’re very excited about it because it’s going to lower their
maintenance costs; you don’t have to paint it, you wont have to replace it for years
to come. The children love it. A lot of the schools now are eco school; their very keen
on it because it reduces their carbon footprint. If you compare a ton of recycled plastic production
to a ton of virgin, the recycled plastic uses 250%, or produces 250% less carbon dioxide…So
thats a serious reduction in the carbon footprint of the school. It also uses 1.8 tonnes less
oil than making virgin plastic. If you want to get the latest prices on this if you go on our website which is www.kedel.co.uk, you’ll find all the latest prices their, or you can call
us direct on 01282 861325. Hope to hear from you. Thanks a lot.
