Good practices – developing sustainable tourism Bartłomiej Lipski – Secretary of the Jeżów Municipality We want to find a balance between the nature protection goals and the interests of tourists. Main idea of the project We would like to create places accessible for tourism, and at the same time, where biodiversity and nature will be preserved and not degraded. Aims and objectives of the project Our goal is to create tourist trails that will be led through areas with high natural value and rich in biodiversity. On the designed trails we will offer viewing platforms. Project inspirations Definitely as an inspiration for our project can be considered BioGov. I am very glad that Jeżów Municipality is one of its stakeholders. We are very pleased to participate in it. Thanks to the BioGov we noticed the need to preserve biodiversity and we recognized what we are surrounded by . We also see what we have to tackle. One of the ideas that we have and that was also inspired by BioGov is the use of cultural events to promote nature. At one of the stakeholders meetings we discussed good practice from Belgium which is mixing visits to orchards with cultural events. We are thinking about something like a recital, open-air painting, an exhibition in an orchard or a nature reserve. We are interested in something like that. We will have to see what we can implement.
