Seoul City Tour: A Guide to Things to Do In Seoul

Located in the nation’s north-west around
60km south of the DMZ, Seoul is the capital of South Korea and blends
modern high-tech with timeless tradition. The city has dozens of beautiful temples and
palaces with many of them dating back hundreds of
years. It’s not uncommon to see dramatic performances
of martial arts or even a ceremonial changing of the guard. The ornate architecture of the royal palaces
is emphasised by the quiet beauty of the surrounding gardens. The performing arts are a vibrant part of
Seoul’s culture offering dazzling performances of music, song and dance. And those looking for more adult pursuits
are well catered for with bars, nightclubs and casinos. Koreans love shopping and visitors will find
so many options. Seoul has entire neighbourhoods dedicated
to shopping from the liveliest night markets to expensive
department stores. Even with the hustle-and-bustle of a big city
the people of Seoul can still find peace beside the Cheonggyecheon
Stream or on the Hangang River. The heart of this modern mega-city is buried
deep in the past and gives visitors a dazzling richness of
experiences that will remain in your thoughts for years.

  1. I had lived in Seoul for 8 years and I am experiencing many of the changes these promotion videos have featured. Chonggyecheon, Hongdae, Gangnam, Itaewon, Gwanghwamun are not the only centers of attractions. I suggest people come to Dongdaemun, Namdaemun, Goyang, Incheon, Yeouido, Uhnyeonggung, Deosukgung, Noryangjin (who love seafood and sea smells), thatre tons of experience once you there

  2. I feel like this didn't inform me at all about any specific locations. I would like to know for example what can be found at this and that part of the city. where is it particularly busy? where would you like to party and where to sleep?

  3. seoul is great. beautiful culture, nice people and delicious food. if you're going to visit whether shanghai or tokyo, never miss to checkout seoul too. it's just an hour flight away! also you should go to singapore if you got extra money.

  4. People will faint if they go to seoul after watching this video … because its way more develped than what this video shows ..this video is not good enough as compared to other cities' videos

  5. Hi. Loved your seoul videos as i plan to go there myself soon 🙂 Wud u be kind enough to share with me some few things I noticed from this particular video?

    1. 0:17 Where did this change of guards occur?
    2. 0:36 where did this taekwondo showcase happen?
    3. 1:03 do u have any suggestions where I can enjoy performing arts such as these?

I would appreciate it very much if you would share with me the above items. thank you.

  6. The actual Seoul is way more developed than this video shows. The only problem is that this city is not as popular as Tokyo. But Seoul has every thing a rich and developed city has.

  7. I'm a Japanese.
This year, I will go to Seoul again. I went to Seoul 5 or 6 years ago. I hear Seoul has changed drastically recently. I'm looking forward to it. And my friend is now studing there. I want to meet her and have a good time in beautiful Seoul.
This video is very beautiful but, it seems, it is too short, especially compared with other Asian major cities, such as Tokyo, Hong Kong, Ho Chi MInh City and so on.
