  1. RIP Bid Luckey. Animator of this short, numerous others, and for working at Pixar and voicing Agent Rick Dickler, Chuckles and Eeyore in "The Incredibles", "Toy Story 3" and "Winnie the Pooh (2011)".

  2. This is by far thee cutest classic song that Sesame Street has ever put out! This brings back generations of happiness & memories ! I love this!❀️❀️❀️

  4. Remembered watching this during the early 90s when I was seven or eight. My sister was a year old when my mom sung this to her. Actually she remembered this when it first came out in the seventies.

  7. …Animation by Bud Luckey (RIP), who later worked at Pixar on the movie, "The Incredibles" as well as his own short feature, "Boundin' "…

  8. Take your partner and swing them round and round, up to the middle and back, and heel tap the ground, at the ladybug picnic

  9. This was my favorite song as a kid! I've been watching Sesame Street with my roommate's little boy and I'm so glad to have remembered it! πŸ’›

  10. Sounds like the picnic didn’t go as smoothly as one might of though.

First they fell on their faces doing the beanbag race

Next the rope broke while they were playing jump rope

Last they had to call the fire department because their fire got to big

Poor ladybugs just wanted to have a day of fun and games

123456789101112 and they all had a bad time at the ladybug picnic

    Jk it was actually fun

Another thing is why would they have a fire in the middle of the day? It was like as soon as the sun went down they had to go to bed.

123456789101112 and they all had to go to bed at 6PM at the ladybug picnic. They went to sleep without a peep one got up and slipped on his pee and they he got mad at the ladybug picnic. 123456789101112 and the ran and ran at the ladybug picnic, one was running and slipped on a root then the guy behind him made a toot and then they laughed in the middle of the woods

  11. It's 2019, I'm in my mid 30's and this song came up in office conversation. A song of 12 ladybugs- still highly relevant in today's society.

  12. What a great time to be a kid. I weep for today's children. Now it's transgender story time in schools for kids as young as 4. Absolutely vile and disgusting. Innocence has now been eradicated from childhood.

  13. I am disappointed that this version is not available on Spotify. None of the other versions do it justice and this is the one that gets stuck in my head and I want my child to sing along with!

  14. Whenever I’m sad, I just pull up this video and watch it 15 times. This video should be called β€œsend this to your sad friend without context”

  15. At the age of 43….I still find myself singing this at times. Lived being a kid in late 70’s early 80’s nothing like it

  16. I always loved when animations would make letters and numbers out of things like smoke. This one was one of my favorites becuase of the little fire truck.
