Hey, what is up and how’s it going all Mic-Rockers in the Mic-Rockin’ world. I am Mike Mic-Rock and I’m going to talk about the tourism job fair that happened yesterday at the Holiday Inn on March 22, 2017. So, at this job fair, there was about 15 employers and potential employees would come in with the resumes, talk to potential employers about their future and what they might interest them as for future jobs and references etc. and this was a really good turnout. A lot of people showed up and before the actual job fair took place, there was a breakfast and a speaker by the name of Mark Wafer and Mark Wafer is a guy that owns about, I think, 6 restaurants. Tim Hortons restaurant specifically and I really liked what he was saying. The topics that he was talking about mainly had to do with the importance of creating an inclusive workplace and he was talking about that people with disabilities are really hard workers and they really benefit in the long term. Even with stuff that has to do with money and income and he also mentioned one of his hard-working working employers by a guy by the name of Clint and I really liked the stories that he was telling. So that was in the morning before the job fair and I gotta say, I really enjoyed his speech. His speech wasn’t a speech that would made me fall asleep. I didn’t feel like he was boring. He was good. He was actually speaking directly to you. He wasn’t reading off a script like I sort of am but I am still talking to you but he was able to carry that speech well. I feel like he done 1,000,000 speeches and probably the same speech over and over which means practice makes perfect. Mark Wafer is a really good speaker and when the job fair took place, again, I got to say, it was a really good turnout. A lot of people showed up. A lot of potential employee showed up and my experience with this job fair was actually pretty good and it should happened to me more often and like I said, the more I talk about something, the better practice I will get. So I had potential employees come up to me and asked me what is Inclusion all about. What is Empower all about and I talked about the products and services etc and it was a really good experience. Again, just talking about something to other people, interacting with other people which I really did enjoy. This job fair was absolutely amazing and at this job fair, there were about maybe 15 to 20 potential employers. Employers like Murray Premises, Ocean Quest inc., Marine Atlantic, The Leaside Group, Best Western. A lot of really interesting employers there. And that’s pretty much the tourism job fair in a nutshell and if you went to this tourism job fair, what did you think about it?
