Tourism Management Program & Rendezvous Canada Video

My favorite place that I have been is probably
Australia. Yeah, I love it there. I was so upset that I was back, and that’s when I knew
that I had to get into travel. I started looking around like what kind of programs am I interested
in? You’re always traveling, why don’t you study, you’re always talking about it. I said,
“yeah, why didn’t I?’ Humber offers multiple study abroads. So, they offer more destinations
for you to go to and experience. Once you have your diploma from Humber you can get a job right away. So, I decided Humber was the best choice for me. I think our program does a really good job of preparing them for the industry. We like to take our students outside of the classroom, show them the reality of this industry, and seeing it from the perspective
of an actual working professional. So, Rendez-vous Canada is basically a travel trade-show event where we promote Canadian destinations. People come down from every part of the world.
I met people from Mexico, Brazil, Australia. Definitely saw students who potentially had
an internship, and who knows maybe even a career path as a result of this show. There’s so many options that you can choose from once you’re actually in the industry. I didn’t know about tour operators or if there’s destination marketing. Airlines, wholesales, travel agencies,
people get some really exciting jobs out of the program. It’s always great when an alumni comes back and makes me jealous. It makes me very happy. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone that has a passion for travel. I’m more interested than ever to continue. I’m
more excited to just move on with next year, and to see what the future has. We get constant
feedback from employers saying, “You know, we always look for Humber grads.” I definitely
made the right choice going to Humber, there’s no question about it. The experiences, the
teachers, the future that I’m looking ahead to. This is where I belong, Humber was it.
