Triip’s CEO Hai Ho: Presenting The Sustainable Future of Travel

Today more and more people are traveling.
as a traveler you want to savor unique , see something authentic and create a valuable memory. But, increasingly travelers are going to places that are already overburdened with tourists. Travel is still thriving, though its central benefits—the unique destinations, the special experience sought by anyone who’s ever traveled a long distance to see them—are becoming fewer and fewer year by year. There are more airlines, more hotels to host travelers, but you can’t manufacture more Angkor Wats , nor can you make another Great Wall or Eiffel Tower We’re almost out of pristine beaches.
Travelers today are running from one overcrowded destination to another. It’s a bitter irony that those who travel seek a new space but are consistently directed to the same places. They’re queueing for hours at tourist attractions, masking disappoints seeing same beaches, the same mountain that more trash than rocks
they come to find adventure but instead what today’s traveler sees are just the consequences of mass tourism This is not only depleting the world’s treasures, but killing our planet. A new report released by WWF has revealed tourists are responsible for a 40 percent increase in trash entering the Mediterranean Sea, 95 percent of which is plastic. Among the worst offenders for plastic pollution were Turkey, Spain, Italy, Egypt and France – countries that will host an expected 34 million British travelers this year.
Our team is alarmed by the prospect of of this being our future. We created Triip out of the sense of urgency and potentially consequences which this situation portends. We’re on a mission to help travelers enjoy truly unique and authentic experiences that are crafted by locals in unspoiled destinations.
Instead of jamming 1,000 travelers into 10 famous local restaurants we’ve designed a network to connect 1,000 locals to host one traveler or a small group in
their own home if they wish. This way This way, travelers can see the destination authentically. And now thousands of travelers are using Triip, what we feel is
the happiest way to travel. 98 percent of our travelers are satisfied with the unique experiences provided by our local experts. Last year alone, we paid out more than $1.2 million dollars to partnering local tour guides and collaborators around the world. We’re part of a growing trend trend in the industry. However, it is still a drop of water. No single company can do it alone but travelers, locals, airlines, transportation companies, travel companies, hotels, restaurants… everyone can lend a hand here. That’s when we realized would need more than just a tool or
platform but an entirely new way of doing business. I will show you what our
vision for what this will look like, but first I want to show you the newest
addition to the Triip platform which launches today. The Triip Plan is a great way for travelers to avoid overcrowded destinations, earn extra money, and book at the best price while helping local travel suppliers connect to clients more simply.
We expect it will quickly replace traditional travel planning apps, checking in over social networks, smoke signals and or whatever else travelers are using right now to design and share their experiences. It’s both the ease of use and the rewards system incentivizing activity that sets our service apart. On the business side, for for travel service providers like hotels, tour companies and restaurants, the Triip Plan can be an attractive channel to earn new
customers without paying hefty marketing dollars or big commission fees to a middleman platform. The only fee travel The only fee travel service providers will cover incur here is a fee for actual bookings not, page clicks or impressions. You only pay for what you sell. Let’s take a look at one example of Triip’s customers, Mr. Louis. He is a global traveler with business in 8 countries. He is also a Key Opinion Influencer (KOL) on Instagram with 100,000 followers. He’s checked in everywhere he goes. Here is how the Triip Plan can make that same activity so much easier and rewarding. Louis simply opens the app, chooses his destination, what kind of activities he likes and when he will be there. He presses a button and receives the universal loyalty token TriipMiles. Now Louis can see the best offers tailored to him and his itinerary. He can also book travel services at a lower cost because these travel service providers don’t have to pay for marketing fees or rent space on an intermediary platform to reach to Louis. Louis can book his room using TriipMiles at one of the 2.9 million hotels in 227 countries in our network without the paying full price upfront. Additionally, Louis will receive a 5 percent rebate in TriipMiles after he Not enough? The Triip system will also give Louis an additional rebate if he happens to find a better price somewhere else. If he’s looking for more places to earn TriipMiles, Louis has plenty to explore the rest of the Triip app. While waiting for his upcoming trip. Louis can earn extra TriipMiles by trying his luck twice a day at the Lucky Wheel. He can also earn a daily reward for his TriipMiles deposit. Rewards are also given for creating a digital passport. He can also refer friends to
Triip or designing a local experience himself. We are eager to bring even more
reward opportunities in our token infrastructure.
Thanks to the Triip Plan, Louis is no a passive tourist but an active contributor to the new travel economy. The Triip Plan is just the beginning because our mission to empower the world by accelerating sustainable travel is broad and will require years of commitment. We have been playing with ideas that at first sounded impossible or crazy Triip is not just a tool but a decentralized economy where we can make algorithms that facilitate business interactions easily and securely. This lets people focus on the work that they do best: delivering happiness to traveler. What if instead of being one of the thousands who are paying for a shot at appearing somewhere within a Google search, this same restaurant was alerted when the client booked airfare to their area and had a chance to offer them a special invitation with a discount to this traveler, all while the client remains anonymized.
What if you could see ahead how many people will be at a destination ahead to avoid a crowd? What if you could enjoy the original price without markup and
still contribute 1 percent to sustainable travel projects auto-magically. What if no company but you run this new economy together with other travelers? What if we can find the Holy Grail of tourism: sustainability, profitability, and authenticity in travel experiences? This is the world we are building in 2019. For travel business partners, let’s work together to build a better, fair place for you to connect with your prospective clients. There’s a place for all of us in the Triip economy, but we won’t be able to build it without your help.
